Set Default OS Xp or Vista or 7

Many user require multiple operating system especially after launch of win vista & win 7 . If multiple operating system are install on your pc then you have to select one from menu each time when pc boots . If you’re frequency using an os , for example win vista then you can do that by selecting vista as default os

    1. Go to system properties
    2. click ‘advanced system settings ‘ link from left panel .
    3. The system properties box will appear . Click on advanced tab
    4. click setting button under start up & recovery section
    5. select os to be set as default
    6. once done click ok

I only have one OS on the computer I am using at the moment. But I beleive you can do it in Msconfig - Boot Tab. Select the option and below click "run as default"

I personally use EasyBCD to change and edit all my multi boot systems - If you are regularly switching between operating systems you may also find their iReboot useful to set the next OS to boot each time you reboot.

Download EasyBCD 1.7.2 - NeoSmart Technologies

Download iReboot 1.1.1 - NeoSmart Technologies
