Win7/32 to Win7/64 On Two Laptops

I did this as requested and it told me that I could not open the 64 bit version even as an administrator, that the version of Windows was not compatible. What do I do now?

Run the 32 bit version.

It is right by the 64 bit version and is called Dism++x86.exe

OK, I'll do that. I'm trying my level best to follow your instructions explicitly. With my lack of knowledge I didn't feel comfortable making any changes to your way of doing things.
