    So you downloaded the Win7_HomePrem_SP1_English_COEM_x64.iso.
Did you burn a DVD with it or did you do a USB Win 7 installation disk?
If you did a USB Win 7 installation disk, how did you make it? (you can't only transfer the iso file to the USB disk)
I did as you suggested, on a USB stick.

As I wrote before, to make a USB Win 7 installation disk you can't only copy the iso file to the USB drive.
Follow this tutorial Create a Bootable Windows 7 Installation USB Flash Drive (use Rufus to create a USB Win 7 installation disk).

Once created, follow my instructions from post #2 Upgraded to SSD, can't restore to factory to clean it all up
    - With ABR backup your SLP license
    - Download all the drivers for your desktop
    - Boot from the Win 7 installation disk and do a clean Install
    - After installation, open Device manager and Install all the missing drivers
    - When done, you can offline activate using ABR activation_restore.exe
    - Install all updates using Simplix

Thanks much. I was able to do almost everything. Some HP drivers didn't load but I'll try again.

A few of them. sp5133 (the file does not meet the minimum requirement) Another 511368 error (259)

But I didn't install them first. I tried but it took literally hours of a black screen and... nothing.

It wasn't 'til I entered my own SN for the Windows 7 that anything worked at all.

What serial number? You didn't follow my instructions to retrieve the SLP using ABR?

My own serial no. It just didn't work. I was waiting for hours to just do a single HP update. Hours with a black screen. I have a legitimate license that came with the machine.
