Apparently, this USB is active already! and if I try to boot it, still the same black image appears like before.
It doesn't make sense.
Let's try to start from scratch.
- With the Mini toll partition wizard, right click on the USB drive, and select Delete.
- Right click and select Create. On the window that opens, select:
- Create as: Primary
- File system: Fat32
- Apply
Close Mini toll
- With 7 zip open the Win7_HomePrem_SP1_English_x64.iso file you downloaded and extract all files and folders to the USB drive.
- Extract the boot.zip to efi folder.
- rename \sources\ei.cfg to ei.cfg.org

Try to boot from the USB drive
I'm now under the impression that stick is lacking a boot sector.
Making a Bootable USB with Windows 7
Active makes the boot sector.
Did you do the previous instructions I gave you (start from scratch)?
@harant I'm beginning to suspect your USB drive has a problem:
- It failed when you used MS USB toll (Post 18)
- All the attempts to make it active using diskpart gave some kind of error.
Where did you bought the USB drive?
Did you run a drive test on it? Have seen many fake or defective drives. I myself bought a Kingston 16G DataTraveler SE9 that wasn't working. Had to replace it under warranty.
After trying two different USB and two different ISO files, I have decided to give it a shot with the 32-bit version and it worked!
I want to thank you all for helping me out! Specially big thanks for @Megahertz07.
I'm running a Driver Booster and it helps me with the installation :)
Can anyone recommend a good antivirus and firewall?
@harant, I've sent you a private maessage that you didn't answer.
I'm frustrated. I still don't know why all the attempts failed. I'm only satisfied with a game over.
For the antivirus I use Avira free and Superantispyware free
For the firewall I use an old version (9.2.106) of ZoneAlarm 9.2.106 free (the best software is the one you know how to use it)
Best Free Firewalls for 2020 (9 for Windows and 1 for Mac)
