Possible to install and run W7 on an M2 drive in a USB3 adapter?
Is this possible? Would it work?

OK. But it'd be faster than a regular SATA HDD, wouldn't it?
try it and find out.
aomei and ( i think ) easeus both have a function which can create win7 to go, maybe only in the paid versions.
you could instead use winntsetup
winntsetup_v530_beta6.zip

Thanks, I'll try it.
WinToUSB will do it too.

But, if this is a new install without USB 3.0 drivers those will have to be slipstreamed into your Windows install media with DISM or NTLite. I'd have to supply instructions if this is the case. I'm really only familiar with NTLite.

Why don't you install on a PCIe card?
