    SK Hynix BC711 NVMe Drive

    Hi there. As some people know, I've been trying to install Windows 7 for a while now. I'd always get stuck on asstor64.sys, disk.sys or another driver. However, I recently uncovered the reason why. One day, I was attempting to install the Windows 8 8102 EEAP build. I got this when I was booting into the setup itself, instead of using DISM:

    Peculiar, I thought. But then I checked my drive's model and soon realised: I don't have the drivers for the NVMe drive. Probably why it's hanging on disk.sys, the driver for the disk. I was soon off to Google, looking at anything I could find about a "sk hynix NVMe driver". I was REALLY looking. "Page 2 of Google" type of really. However, I left empty-handed. The model of the drive is hfm512gd3jx016n. If anyone would help me find a driver that works with this thing, I'd be very grateful.

    Specs:
    Acer Aspire A315-43
    UEFI, no CSM, Secure Boot off
    8GB RAM
    512GB NVMe SSD (HFM512GD3JX016N, SK HYNIX)
    Windows 11
    x64 based processor and OS

    The main problem is that you don't have CSM.

    Update your Win 7 installation media

    I tried W7UPDATER but I could try it again. Insanity IS doing the same shit over and over expecting things to change but why not?

    As you don't have CSM you need to use a modified boot file (I know Canokong has made one)

    @SIW2 can guide you
