win 7 won't boot into SSD after new CMOS battery

Installed new CMOS battery as the PC would not hold date and time. Win 7 OS is on a 128Gb Adata SSD. Data is on WD HD. When I try to boot I get a black screen telling me to reboot and F8 to set boot order. I select the SSD and the boot completes. There is no Save & Exit option. I have to go through this every time. I click the DEL button on boot to get into BIOS but the SSD is not listed in the Boot tab. What am I doing wrong? Seems I had this problem a long time ago on another PC but don't recall the fix. Thanks..

make sure the battery is seated properly, you might have to bend up the little metal clip that is under the battery to ensure a tight fit.

You're gonna have to pour through your BIOS/UEFI and make sure all the settings are back to what they were. I'd primarily focus on whether or not AHCI is on or off. It may need to be on, and should be... But if it wasn't from the jump it needs to be off.

did you have both drives attached when you replaced the cmos, if so pull it out again and reseat with just your "c" in then add the other

After suggestions I went further into BIOS and found Hard Disk Drives under the Boot tab. That is where I was able to actually change the Boot Order and all works fine. Thanks to all for submitting help.
