Need help installing Windows 7 on 8th gen

I went to great lengths to get windows 7 installed on my 4th gen x1 carbon (due to missing usb3 drivers), and again when I upgraded to a 2tb nvme hard drive which couldn't clone because I needed the nvme drivers. I succeeded.

But now I just got a gen 6 x1 carbon which has an 8th gen cpu and according to the windows 7 reddit, it is possible to install windows 7 on an 8th gen cpu

The situation is unusual because in my case, technically I can use the same drive with everything installed and just swap it into the new laptop after slipstreaming in the new drivers into the existing install.

The way I did it last year to get the new nvme drivers after cloning the old drive onto the new 2tb drive is that I booted into a windows install disc, and used command prompt to install the drivers using the powershell commands. It worked.

I'm hoping to do the same thing with this laptop, but the issue is going to be getting the drivers for the 8th gen processor.

    My system:
    x1 carbon gen 6
    i7 8650u (UHD 620)
    16 gb ram

It is easy on a 300 series consumer desktop motherboard.

I dont know if there might be some hurdles with an oem proprietary 300 series laptop motherboard. Touchpad drivers for example.
