    Windows 7 Activaton Issue

    Hi,

Have just installed a new, unopened Win 7 Ultimate, needed to run some old apps. All installed 64 bit, fine, but online activation fails, and the uk phone number is a dead line. Kit is dated 2013, with prodict code tag: "GGOK-WIN ULT 7 32-bit / 64-bit English". Accepts the product key ok.

Really need this machine running, so is it posible to activate win 7 now ?

    Thanks in advance...

    Regards,

    Chris

    Hi,

Thanks, not familar with slic, but the machine is an HP Elitedesk 800 G1, I5 cpu. No coa, but the label says windows 8.1, I guess that is around the right time frame. Is the slic some sort of auto activation thing ?. Have seen that on another machine, which just worked. Chose ultimate because I need an nfs client to talk to a Linux server. Machine seems swift with a small ssd...

HP Elitedesk 800 G1 4th gen must have win7 slic table.

Windows 7 Ultimate HP OEM : Microsoft : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive

i dont know if the above is any use, you might be able to find another by searching tinternet or use 7_oem_installer

if you want any fresh win7 installation to be able to find updates you need to install manually first KB3138612

    Hi

from what i can see that comp came with w7 download rights
so slic table should be present
bit of a pain really as it "rights" will be for the the version installed, likely PRO
(is there a COA attached for W7 or a code on the invoice???)

lets have a look see, run this tool copy/paste the output

    https://www.sevenforums.com/attachme...ns-mgadiag.exe

you quoted an unopened Utimate package, not HP i'm guessing

need to see why its not activating
how did you get the Ultimate version

From other threads here, I have seen that HP may be able to help with this, since it's one of their machines. I would try asking their support team.

Be very surprising if they do any help at all for win 7. Only for the currently supported systems win10/11. In addition that old machine is way out of warranty.

I expect the iso linked in previous post will do the job and it should have the logos, wallpapers etc.

    Is the HP G1 used?

an easy way, go HP website, Cloud Recovery, download HP Win7 Install Media from there.

When clean-install complete, Win7 activation is automatically done. no need for Win7 key, no need to go online to activate.
