Stymied during Repair using W7 Installation Disk!

    Stymied during Repair using W7 Installation Disk!


    I have used it before with limited success.
    Some things it could fix, others it couldn't.

    This time, I know Stymie is alive and well into my brain or what's left of it.

    I set the BIOS to boot from an External USB attached Drive.
    It failed to BOOT and requested repair.
    Problem is, how does one aim the repair at an External USB attached Drive when using the W7 Installation Disk?

    Windows-7 Pro 64Bit (non-Bootable Version)
    Odds and ends of life.

    I'd like to make to make it Bootable again.

    win7 wont natively boot over usb

    I'll attach it Internally via SATA as a second internal drive.
    After booting from the Windows-7 Pro 64B C:\ Drive, how might I repair it if possible?

    If you have several win7 installations it will get confused. That is why only the sick disk should be attached via sata .

    boot recovery/installation media go to recovery options and try startup repair

Today I booted up my computer and got a screen saying something went seriously wrong with my computer and that I should repair it from an installation disk. I load up windows onto a USB, boot it and click the repair option. It's been about half an hour and nothing has shown up. Is it still loading...
Created it with no problems, apparently at least. My BIOS is set to boot from CD drive...so why won't my machine boot from the system repair disk? There were no errors when disk was created. My machine just boots to windows. Anyone else experience this with Win 7 Professional? Any tips?
