Can 7 .iso, cd or install files still be found?

    Hey all,

I have several older desktops and laptops and once had 7 on them but were upgraded to 10, and even *gasp* 11 but novelty has worn off .. tired of the lag in performance, a couple of them, T60, X220 Thinkpads had 7 .. an Acer Inspire, for one .. had XP on it, I purchased 7 for it (ugh), and subsequently loaded 10 on it, but with it's 2gb max ram (didnt see -that- until after 10 was installed), it draaaaaaaaaged and was just put away ..

It was recently (re)found, it's banned by Geneva Convention for being to painful to wiat for it to boot .. so, I would really like to put 7 back on it, but that disk is gone the way of most things .. gone, zeb, jus' gone .. there's still 7 Home stickers so I've got valid keys, I just cannot find the 32 bit Windows 7 disk. The Acer is 32bit only .. I reeeeeally dont want to put XP back on it, and relegate it to a music player only .. Seven, even tho it's past EOL and no updates exist for it .. I dont know if I can trust any off eBay to be real ..

so, is there anywhere 32bit 7 can still be found, safely? Or does anyone have it they want to get rid of?

yeah, thot it was good for a laugh too ..

    Paula

Possibly your search-engine is run by Microsoft? DuckDuckGo uses Bing, which is Microsoft. Try eTools.ch for a good meta search engine.

To make a Win 7 USB boot able drive:

Open a CMD window as administrator and type:

    diskpart
list disk (it will list all drives. Identify the USB drive number)
select disk n (replace n by the USB drive number obtained with list disk)
    clean
    convert mbr
    create part primary
    select part 1
    format fs=fat32 quick
    assign
    active
    exit (to exit diskpart)

If you have a Win 7 installation iso file
On Win 7 use 7Zip to extract all files and folders from the Win 7 iso file to the USB drive.
On Win 10, mount the iso file and copy all files and folders to the USB drive.

If you have a Win 7 installation DVD
On another computer that has ODD, copy all files and folders from the DVD to the USB drive

To make it UEFI boot able you must add the \efi\boot folder

To make it universal (all Win 7 versions), go to \sources on the USB drive and delete \sources\ei.cfg

Thanks a lot to SIW2 or your replay. But what I need is exactly those 618XXX ISO files, not 677XXX ISO.
