Windows 7: I want to cry!

I want to cry!

Day 2 of my Windows 7 installation, and I already want to cry....

Thanks to some helpful people, I've got rid of my old xp files now and am happy with the basic installation. I'm now trying to put back all my old programs and connect up my NAS drive. Here's where the problem is:

I can see my NAS drive in explorer and when I try to double click on it, it asks me for a username and password, but it seems to be prefixing the login with my computer domains Franks-PC, so it's not accepting my login. Even if I try use a different account it does the same thing and fails login.

After googling for hours, I think I found a solution linked to the Local Security Policy in the Control Panel, BUT when I go there, the Local Security Policy is non-existent! Huh?

I've tried "show hidden folders" but that still doesn't get it to show up....

Anyone got any ideas about how to either logon to my NAS properly or show the Local Security Policy... NB, I've tried searching for it too, but it doesn't show up....

Thanks

Frank
