Windows 7: No Safe mode option?

Vista U32 , now Win7 64

Indeed, you should press F8.. if you have a single OS, just push F8 repeatedly from sec you see your boot screen I'd say. Then I believe, you get the listings you mention.. by pushing TAB if i remember correctly, the rest of the options show up... last known... safe mode... w/ networking etc.

Windiws 7 Ultimate x64

I know this thread is long dead but.. For anyone searching and wants to know the proper (Not spamming F8 like the old days) method in Windows 7, here it is:

Click the Start button.
Click Run.
Type in "msconfig" without the qoutes.
Select the Boot tab.
There you can select Safe Mode + options.
Restart and everything will load automatically, as few or as many times as you want depending on the options you have selected.

Win 7 Professional 64bit

I have an interesting problem with Win7 Pro, 64bit, which has me perplexed. The machine runs perfectly in normal mode, but when I try to put it into safe mode from the F8 menu choices, here's what happens.....
The machine starts to start...... when we get to the "Welcome" screen, things are looking good. At which point, the box again reboots, and starts normally in normal mode..... so in essence, I can run normally, without a single issue with any of my applications, and yet, I am left with no access to safe mode. Having been at this since I built my first IBM-PC (8086) back in the early 1980's, I have tried everything I know to solve this issue, as I like that safe mode to be available to me "just in case" I push things to far and get met with something that might require it.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.....

Windows 10 Pro x64 x3, Ubuntu

Only thing that comes to mind is that some hardware driver that does not load in Safe Mode does not have a safe mode driver installed that would act as a fall back - not sure how to proove the cause or how to cure it but check the drivers for any "exotic" hardware as a starting point, (in addition disconnect any USB or other remote hardware if possible)
