Q: Transfer Win7+data on another hdd (cloning).
Hello I've just read tutorial section but something is confusing me. The question about cloning/migrating or how is even name for this case. I'll describe.
I've just got intel SSD 80 gb. I'm running laptop with 4300rpm fujitsu hybrid drive HDD 250 Gb. Yes It's really slow sometimes. I'm not worring about capacity since all my apps that I'm using plus OS are occuping 30 Gb of space. I just need pure speed
I'm wondering how can I clone this HDD to intel's SSD? I don't have installation OS disc, recovery or something else. Only installed OS and that's it. All other I left at home.
System Image in Windows 7. Is this able to create partition for "System" and "System Reserved." 'Couse I don't know if I have to manually setup partition or what on hdd that i'm moving on.
Where to place system image? Does I have to transfer it to Intel's SSD (that includes making a partition) and run it with Win 7 system repair disc (have to make one on USB Flash drive and run in boot). Option 2 in this case: make system image on fujitsu HDD, then swap HDD's: SSD goes in laptop and Fujitsu goes on usb connect via Kama connect 2, than run system repair disc. I don't know even if there's in repair disc option to recover image from removable devices.
Other option. To complete clone my data and OS (all two partitions) on SSD throught usb connected drive (SSD should be connected with Kama connect 2 throught USB). With this option, I don't have to make backup image. Just clone "on the fly" how would say guys in "Nero" company.
Intel's SSD is completely empty no partitions - brand new, still in box, waiting for Your answer and my time to complete some downloads (approx 2 days).I'm asking You for helping me because i want to save some time. In worst case i'll run whole 3 scenarios.
I've never done backup in my life. Everything is just working fine (knock on wood).
Is there any conflict(BSODs,other) if Windows recognize that his home is on another HDD. Maybe It will complaining that he moved from villa to tent. :)
Best regards and sorry for the long post, but I think that I've explained everything that bothers me.
