If you plan on keeping it, why noy buy a copy.

Save yourself troubles with a "clean" install.

Most of us have the purchased cession

No, the Upgrade Kit contains the Win7 DVD with official MS OEM license sticker for Win 7 upgrade, tied to the underlying Vista license and that computer forever.

Save it because if lost then you may only be able to activate the Vista which is stickered to the computer.

But if you make a Win7 Backup Image of the final Upgrade and save it externally, you will never have to reinstall again,, just reimage your HD or a replacement in 15 minutes.

    Sounds good, bud.

Now be sure to order your Upgrade Kit before the deadline.

If you need to extend the 30-day activation deadline, there is a way to do it via Google.

Don't use any hacktivations as they never hold and will destabilize your Vista.

Besides, you paid for the Upgrade when you bought the laptop!
