I have the same 100MB partition on my Dell Vista system. Seems to be something specific to Dell. I also have utilities that you can run from the BIOS. I always thought they came from there - but I may be wrong.Have never heard of the 100mb Windows 7 boot/repair partition installed with Windows 7 being formatted FAT32
Success, i now have a single 149Gig Windows 7 HD, but how do i get the windows 7 system restore files on the HD in case i have to repair it.? I did create a repair disk when i first installed Windows 7.
System restore is turned on at Start>rightclick Computer>Properties>Advanced>System Protection>Configure
Your installer DVD and Repair CD are how you would boot into the WIndows 7 Repair console to use Recovery Tools like Startup Repair, Line Commands, or SysRestore from boot. You also reimage your HD (or a replacement) from there.
Be sure to save externally a Win7 Backup image so you never have to reinstall Win7 again, just reimage in 15 minutes.
It is already there.
If you want to add it to the boot menu, type bcdedit /enum all /v , find the {Identifier} and add it to the menu.

If its already there and if the repair CD will function there is not need to add it to the boot menu. ? and thanks for those who helped me.
When you have time over the next few weeks, suggest you boot from Partition Wizard, check the file system and run a surface scan on your HD, just to be sure the moving operation didn't compromise anything. I check mine regularly anyway.

ok make a PW boot disk and it works, but i could not find where it say to check system files, or is that what it check before i get the following, ( which i closed out and booted to the PW disk management ) doing as surface scan now

2.creating/ deletind any partitons before the system partitons of winodws 2000, XP,2003
Those warnings are for users who do not know how to recover the MBR into their Win7 partition like you now do. It boots, right?
I get Check File system on my right click context menu when running PW from desktop (check Fix errors, too).
It should also be on booted PW right click menu, along with HD Surface Scan
Yes it boots, will do a system file check once its done with surface scan.
surface scan .... is ok.... no errors.
system files .......is ok.....no errors.
