Windows 7: My Kernel-Power Woes

Windows 7

Ya, nothing's working. Damnit. I suppose one can argue "a hardware breakdown, if didn't happen now, is only waiting to happen in the future" but seriously, with my old setup, I was running intense games for hours with no problems at all (mostly Fallout 3), and after trying win7 I'm up the creek and need to RMA my mobo. A bit of a pain. I've been in denial (or at least I was only 99% sure that it was mobo), and now that I'm 100% certain I've just gotta get over it.

Windows 7 x64 finally!

Wiser, I don't know that for a fact, but I heard Win7 runs the processor hotter than Xp, what makes me think it stresses the hardware in a different way. Sort of those muscles you find out you have after playing some sports you are not used to.
Just a theory (and may be nonsense) and not a solution for your problem either. I hope it works better with the new board. Let us know if it works, that can help other people too. Or if you need additional help

Within the first five mins of any game or using Netflix, my computer will lose all power. The system does not freeze; the power just goes out like a light. I cannot power my system back on after that point unless I turn the switch from the power supply itself off and then back on, and then I can...
