Please fill in your system specs more completely. "Asus" is not enough to go on.
If you bought the DVD from MS, their tech support is included in the price. If not:
If you have a flash stick, format it Primary using Disk Management and copy the files into the root exactly as they appear on the DVD, then attempt to boot it by tapping the Boot Menu F-key given on first bootup screen; it will be listed under Hard Drives.
Try removing all but 2 gb of memory, then switching memory sticks around. Run WIndows Memory Diagnostic Test, then memtest86 bootable overnight.
Enter BIOS setup by tapping F-key given on first screen. What is the SATA controller set to: AHCI, SATA, RAID or IDE? Also take note of the BIOS version on first screen and compare it to the most recent BIOS update on Asus's Support Downloads page for your model.
Check to see that the firmware is up to date on your optical drive. Try another OD.
Download and burn to CD the diagnostics for your HDD (Seagate Seatools, WD Lifeguard, etc) listed on the Support Downloads page for your HD model, run full test scan then zero the HD and attempt install from boot. W.D. Lifeguard works on most.
