    Windows Mail

If you decide to wipe the HD and fully embrace the future now, you might want to backup windows/system32/drivers and /driverstore so that if any drivers are missing when you open your Device Manager, you can browse to those folders to retrieve them.

The Win7 installer is surprisingly driver-complete, thanks to MS funding the WHQL partnership with all manufacturers to build drivers for Win7. Since MS paid the bill, they set the deadlines and have them first - in the installer, during install by staying connected to internet, and from Windows Updates.

There is absolutely no comparison between Vista and Win7. It is not only the best OS ever, feather-light yet fast as lightning, but is IMO the greatest invention since the computer.

    Ok, thanks everyone.

I'll back up my pc and give it a try, but probably not for a few weeks.

I'm going to MISS Windows Mail. I despise online email. I don't even understand why they wouldn't offer windows mail anymore. It seems dumb to me.

Now I'm off to ATI's webbie to find out if my Radeon x1950 will be ok with Windows 7, which I should have done before purchasing Windows 7. Ya think? lol

Well, let me ask opinions. Should I stay with Vista for awhile (since we're used to all the security nonsense) or head to 7? Is 7 awesome? Originally Windows 7 was *only* purchased due to .... a computer game conflict. Now the computer game issue has been fixed so we've wasted the money for 7 for nothing. Now since we have 7, though, we're thinking just get it on.
Windows Live Mail is essentially the same product with a few visual differences. Give it a try.
