    When your PC boots, wait for a prompt at the bottom, it will tell you what button to press, usually ESC, F1, F10.

    ok, thanks. Just did a clean install.
    Also i know that anyone with a computer wants to keep the c drive clean to keep the pc running smooth. Is there a program that i can use to changed where my program files ect. are saved?

    It's best to keep your program files on the same drive with OS, IMO.

    You can keep your data files on another drive, no problem. Use Disk Management to Shrink your OS partition some and Format a New logical partition, so it doesn't accidentally get marked Active and derail the OS boot.

I tried re-installing windows seven after erasing the partition on my hard drive and I keep getting this error code 0x80070017. I have read some post about burning a DVD or downloading the ISO. if I need to download the iso where can I get it, one that's legit not pirated.

i am planning to buy the upgrade version of win7 (i have genuine vista) but im planning on buy it online from the microsoft store, i read the clean install from upgrade sticky but i noticed this; ' This will show you how to do a Clean Install using a retail Upgrade Windows 7 installation disc.' ...
