OEM Home Premium
I recently purchased the OEM System Builder Pack of Windows 7 Home Premium from CompUSA. How many computers can I install the Windows 7 on with the OEM System Builder Pack?

If it is a standard OEM pack then only one system at a time, it would be transferable to another system at a later date but should only be active on 1 system at a time if it is a single license pack you purchased
So it cannot be transfered at a later date ie new box or hardware failure
or is this the retail version only
Hi Pauly. OEM means Original Equip Manufacturer. The license is very cheap compared to upgrade or full retail. They are meant to go to people who build and resell. Once on a computer it must stay there. If you bought a computeer with OS installled, it is an OEM version. Hope that I have helped.
OEM licenses cannot be transferred to new hardware, once activated.
If you have a motherboard failure then Microsoft may relent if you have to fit another similar board and reactivate, but usually only after a telephone call...
Retail licences can be transferred to new hardware without restriction.
