Need helps on clean install Windows 7

    Greeting,

I just bought a new Dell PC with Vista installed on a 640GB SATA HD. I wipeed out everything and tried to install Win7 on 160GB SATA HD.

Now the machine has 160GB HD as C, and the 640GB HD as D.

    I followed the steps here:

    https://www.sevenforums.com/installat...-problems.html

I still get the error:Setup was unable to create a new system partition or locate an existing system partition

I even can see the 160GB HD partition is marked as "System", and the 640GB HD as Logical.

    What did I do wrong???

    Appreciated for helps.

Need helps on clean install Windows 7 (SOLVED)

Man, I should google it FIRST before doing installation. I have spent 3 nights to install Win7 on my new PC, no success till I found this one:

Setup was unable to create a new system partition or locate an existing system partition. See the Setup log files for more information. Blind Hole

    This trick applies to:
    1) Setup was unable to create a new system partition or locate an existing system partition
    2) Win7 can not find the HD.
