upgrading from Vista, on 2nd partition

    HI

I have the windows 7 upgrade CD and a laptop with Vista on it.

It has a 2nd drive / partition on it and I wondered if it's possible to install Win 7 on the partition and keep the Vista on the original drive. Using the product ID from my current Vista install?

    THanks

In my opinion possible is not the issue. IN the EULA, that you agreed to when you made the purchase, states that the upgraded OS, will no longer be used. The EULA is backed by federal law. So, whatever you decide to do be sure it is in conformity with all laws and agreements.
    EULA End Users Legal Agreement.

I thought as much - will the serial numbers / product id's conflict then?

has anyone managed to do this successfully ?
