    Make a "system repair disk"

    System Repair Disc - Create

    and make a "system image"

Backup Complete Computer - Create an Image Backup

That way you will always be able to go to the point when you created the image. The "repair CD" IS bootable.

I am not helping you to create something you might then share illegally over P2P networks.

However, there's a built-in system image function in Windows 7 which you can use to create a complete system image of your system. When you then want to restore your system, you can use this system image. Because of the installed and available hardware, system image can normally be restored only to a system with exactly the same specs i.e. only to your own computer.

Here's Brink's excellent tutorial about creating a system image, and here another of Brink's tutorials about how to use a system image to restore your system.

System image backup and restore does exactly what you want. You can install all your applications, create an image and later restore your computer as it was when image was created.
