Get back to standard installation

You english much better than my dutch. do you have either the XP disk or the win 7 disk? do you have the "recovery disk"

We can fix this, we just need a bit more information.

I have both discs but I have to borrow the XP installation disc from my mother. I already tried to install Win XP again but the option ''Install Win XP'' isn't enabled
I think because Windows.old still exists. But does that matter?

ok where do you want to end up? XP? win &7 If you have XP pro disk we can get you there. If you have recovery (and the image in d: is XP) we can get you there. what is you final destination?

My final destination is just having my pc fully cleaned with Windows XP Or Windows 7 since I like Win 7 more Win7:)

Got a USB flashdrive? Then download this app and insert your flashdrive into the PC on which you downloaded the app. MAKE SURE THERE ARE NO OTHER FILES ON THE FLASHDRIVE and afterwards open up the downloaded .exe , which will bring you to a small wizard. Select the flashdrive by typing in the drive letter or browsing to it and continue. Once the operation is done, plug the flashdrive onto that Compaq and boot from it. After booting from the flashdrive you will be presented with a neat bootable app that can wipe out all the data on the HDD (low-level-format) very easily. Select the harddrive that you want to format and get it going. The app is called Active @ KillDisk and it has helped me several times.

You dont need to reinstall XP if all you want is Wn7.
