    Black Screen during installation

DVD disc boots up, Windows loading files...then Microsof Corporation loading screen comes up, and after that black screen, and nothing happens, everything is working but nothing happens. Tryed several times, but still the same thing happens. Any suggestions?

First go to the Microsoft Upgrade advisor website to see if there are any incompatibilities with your system and Win7

    http://www.microsoft.com/windows/com...s/default.aspx

Anything more than 2gb of ram should be removed.

    Then try this

Disconnect all unnecessary hardware from the system. This includes hard drives, USB devices, and expansion cards. Remove all but one stick of RAM.

Use the VGA output on your card if possible.

These problems can also be caused by bad RAM. Run a memory diagnostic overnight, using Memest86 or something similar.

If nothing above works, you may have bad installation media. What condition is the disc in? Verify your copy of Windows came from a reputable source. Try burning a new DVD, using the slowest speed possible

Give it some more time. If the hard drive light is flashing or you see other activity, it may be trying to work something out.

Can you open a Command Window by hitting Shift+F10? If you can, look for a file in the root directory titled $WINDOWS.~BT\Sources\Panther\setupact.log. If you find it, check the last few lines and see if anything shows up as repeating or unsuccessful.

If that doesn't work, try hitting CTRL+ALT DEL. Then try starting explorer.exe from Task Manager.

You might also try taking the DVD out of the drive prior to this time.

Before you go try these solutions Although your specific problem is not mentioned, would not hurt to try some of those remedies.

Doing research I came up with a prevelant situation. You must have only mouse, keyboard and monitor connected.

Well, my mouse and keyboard are wireless, so usb receiver must be connected too. Gonna try again:)

Btw, in your first post you told me to disconnect video card, how can i do that when my monitor is connected through VGA? (i'm not very good with computers)

Also, few ppl told me that they had same thing, but after ~10-15min installation started..so i also try to wait even longer ^^

Thx for help, gave you rep

A video card would be necessary, Disconnect everything that is not required. Agreed, a video card would be needed.

I think you might need to borrow a regular keyboard and a mouse. The installation might have a problem with reading the USB connections for the wireless since the drivers would only show USB and not the keyboard and mouse :)
