Just be sure to highlight XP partition
Format XP partition
Then Install to XP partition.
Then you always have a way to get back to old Win7 via Startup Repair if anything fails.
It will start up to Dual Boot menu. The new Win7 will be the top listing.
You can hide the other one later.
i dont see the drive tool i only see partions
if i click next when Xp highlighted i get this
oh mayb i dont see the thing coz i dident start from boot i started it from my desktop xD
Mitch, boot the DVD. It won't format from Win7.
Restart the computer and "press any key to boot from DVD."
If necessary, look for key to press on first screen for Boot Menu and trigger DVD that way.
Otherwise you need to Enter BIOS setup to set DVD to boot first, just before HD>
After booting up it seem to be stuck at windows 7background unlong with an enlarge mouse
wait don't worry took like 5mins for it to work.
At set up is starting now
Sometimes it takes a while. Give it a chance. My old laptop here takes 5-10 minutes then.
If necessary, go back to Windows 7 desktop and run it from there without format.
It would be better to format from boot, though.
To be sure does formattin take like 2src and get rid of partition name?
Formatting overwrites the MBR which is what you need to get rid of from XP.
It could even be causing your sleep problems.
Very important. Wait for booted install to see if it starts up. Stalls happen sometimes, normal.
Expanding windows files is happening pretty quick. It finshed in like 5mins usallu it takes like 30mins infact windows is like almost, so quick
You get a format?
Did it take your key yet? If not do it later at Computer>Properties.
