Please post a disk mgmt screenshot for us to look at to make sure its ok.
Check troubleshooting resources and steps given earlier for wake freezing. Try S3 for ACPI in BIOS. You agree, Iggy?
WTH IS Try S3 for ACPI in BIOS
How do i access it
Oh and also when comeing out of sleep with old Windows it would be hard, it would stay a blank screen, monitor turns off, and then a blank screen with while flashy thing up top, dunno about the new one tho
how can i do this
If your Mobo is nVidia, check your ACPI settings in the bios. Set to S3. That fixed the problem for me.
At 226 posts in this thread, I have long since lost track of what this poster is trying to do.
I assume resizing partitions is one problem?
Sleeping is another.
I have no idea on sleeping.
I assume part of the goal is to expand C to the right into the green space.
If you make a simple volume in that green space, you may then be able to delete the extended partition, leaving ordinary unallocated space--which C could then be expanded into.
Maybe.
But as I said, I don't know if that is a goal here or not.
i dont really care about space anymore LOL i mostly care about freezing!
Look on first bootup screen for key to tap for Enter BIOS setup, look in BIOS on Power tab for ACPI settings. Set to S3. Be very careful not to change anything else, then save setting using key given for that, reboot and test wake up.
We can fix that free space with partition wizard, when you're rested and ready to do it.
You wake freeze problem is best troubleshot by starting a new thread. It will be found after trying a bunch of fixes. There are lots of them on Google (I posted a few links). It just takes patience.
