    Mitch, you are only at risk in the BIOS if you change a setting without knowing what it is.

    In your case, just going in there, looking on Power tab for ACPI settings, changing to S3, saving setting,
    won't do anything to hurt your computer.

    Just don't change anything else, and if you accidentally do, DON"T SAVE SETTINGS!

    Tap the key given on first bootup screen for Enter BIOS setup.

    Or wait for your brother to do it for you?
