Retreiving Your Beta Product Key to Activate Reinstalls

If you space out like I did and toss your Microsoft-issued product key for the official Windows 7 beta (Build 7000), then reinstall the original beta or one of the leaked, later versions only to realize that you need the product key to activate your new installation:

    Don't Panic!

Just click here and Microsoft will retrieve your product key for you to activate your installation. (Requires log in to Windows Live.)

My key is getting rejected. I have Build 7068 and installed premium version as clean install.
Though as RC1 may be close it probably does not matter. Fixed it by running the Anytime Upgrade and using the key for that.

The keys supplied only work for the ultimate install, as ultimate contains everything in Premium it is not a major problem IMO
