It is a good idea to copy the files you downloaded to an external device - in case you need them later.

Even better to make a bootable from them first:

Your answers are always really good for a guy like me who doesnt know so much of computers. On the other hand I have no idea how to make an iso. I saw your link which is really simple but I have no idea where to find these 3 files.
The zipped file when I open it it has really many files.
Shall I extract them first?
Really sorry for being so annoying

Thanks a lot anyway!!!

Hi,

Please post a screenshot of the contents of the .zip - then we shall be able to advise.

It sounds like you have the installation files already - instead of the setup and a couple of others the students got.

That's perfect.

Open the folder called sources - find a file called ei.cfg. Rt click the ei.cfg file and Delete.

Then open vlite - when you get to step 3 of the tutorial- click Browse - browse to the folder called windows 7 ( the one that contains all those in the screenshot) , click Open .

then continue with the rest of the tutorial

Is there a legitimate Microsoft website from where I can download Windows 7 and perhaps try out the ultimate version for 30 days or so? I know it's available on the torrent sites, but you never know if it's been "modified" so I'd prefer to download from Microsoft. Thank you
