7 Not installing on any hard drives.

When I try and install Windows 7 64-bit on my hard drives I get the fallowing error.

Setup was unable to create a new system partition or locate an existing system partition. See the Setup log files for more information.

Its doing this with vista now.

What other OS's are installed? Logical and/or primary partitions?

Perhaps you need to load "text mode" drivers.

    Nicro93 Hello Welcome to SevenForums,
Windows is telling you to partition your drive mmm. Have you had any os installed or is this a new build. Nice specs by the way. Maybe you need to use some partitioning software. Hope you get this problem fixed, good luck to you...

Drivers for your hard drive controllers. In XP you used F6 during text mode setup. In Windows 7 you have the load drivers button when you get the pick partition screen.

Download the driver that says Intel ICH9R/ICH10R Driver (Preinstall driver).
You will need to extract the files in the exe that downloads. It should have a TXTSETUP.OEM file.
