if one dual boots vista with win7 which is installed later, can the boot order be changed, to boot into one or the other? & where is the place to change things.

Start>rightclick Computer>Properties>Advanced Sys Settings>Startup & REcovery settings.

Choose default OS from dropdown, then Time to Display menu. Unchecked or 0 = no menu

If you open msconfig.exe and go to the boot tab, you should show both Win 7 and Vista listed. Highlight the one you want and click "set as default".

If you want to physically change the order in which they appear, you might need to use bcdedit.exe or EasyBCD.
