Did you change your BIOS to boot from the CD? From your description it sounds like its booting from Windows, and there is a conflict because of the 32 64 bit conflict.

PS Its against policy to bump. Especially after only an hour.

Where did you get Win7? Did you burn DVD? Try burning again at 4x speed with Verify using ImgBurn.

Enter BIOS setup to make sure DVD drive is set to boot first, before HD.

Try removing all but 2gb of RAM for install. Test your RAM first using WIndows Memory Diagnostic test by booting into Win7 DVD Repair my Computer>Recovery Tools List.

ok i have all the requirments to do a clean install. i have bios set up to boot from CD/dvd. i boot up and it works. the thing is the screen goes blue, i just see my mouse, and NO language selct promt comes up. it just stops there. the mother board is almost brand new so i dont think thats the problem. i already did 1 clean install with the 32 bit sytem so i know it should work. i just cant get to the select language section of the install process

No, you can use either 32/64 in a clean install from boot. The installer scans the HD and if it sees any OS it will accept Upgrade version key.

Is it possible you are not giving it enough time to load when it seems to stall? On some machines it will take up to 5 minutes to read the HD and locate needed drivers.

Did you test the memory? Use memtest86 to stress test it overnight. Try another 2 gb for install.

Sometimes resetting the CMOS helps: Clear CMOS - 3 Ways to Clear the CMOS - Reset BIOS
While in the BIOS, check your current version against the latest on your computer or mobo model's Support Downloads webpage.

Also, check what SATA controller is set to.
