No devices found on eeepc 900

I have successfully copied Windows 7 on USB stick and booted it up. When Windows search for devices to install itself on, it says that it cant find any and asks if I need any 3rd party drivers.

If i select any other BIOS settings on the pc it wont boot from the USB. Any suggestions?

Many of the USB ports on many netbooks don't get activated until after OS is running.
Have you looked/serched around the net if anyone else has similiar issues with USB bootup?

    Update:
    Does this look familiar?
    1. Boot eee
    2. Press F2 to enter Bios Setup Utility
    3. Go to Boot Settings
    4. I forget the exact wording--something like Hard Drive Boot Order?
    5. Use the + or - key to move your USB drive to the top of the list
    6. Press F10 to save and exit

    Here was another answer
I also had trouble booting from the usb stick until I used the left hand usb port.

As already said, it boots fine from the USB, but the Window installer cannot find a any disks to install itself on.
