What motherboard? Sounds like you need some type of driver in order to access your hard drives during the install.

    Motherboard says:

    Acer G43T-AM

    Looked for drivers, no chance!

    Thanks

A few screens after choosing custom install, did you come to a screen showing existing partitions, with a choice for "drive options/advanced" in the lower right???

Normally, you would check that option and proceed to the next screen where you would delete all partitions, make 1 or more new ones, make one of them active, and then install the OS on that activated partition.

As I recall, you do not specifically choose to format these new partitions--it is done by default.

    I dont think I did?

I remember not been able to delete due to the partitions were dynamic

Now, I have no drives or drivers?

Begin the install again, choosing custom install.

Look for that "drive options/advanced" and check it.

Go to the next screen and highlight a partition and confirm you can or cannot delete it.

If you can't delete the partition, let us know exactly what the error message is.

If you formatted the drive you have nothing to upgrade to, you will have to perform a Clean/complete installation.
Also if you are seeing driver issues it will come from the dvd drivers.

As stated in your previous thread, if you choose to clean reinstall then the dynamic formatting of your HD will need to be converted. Back up all of your files, boot the WIn7 DVD, select Repair and open a Command Line:

To change a dynamic disk back to a basic disk using a command line
    1. Back up all volumes on the disk you want to convert from dynamic to basic.
    2. Open a command prompt and type diskpart.
    3. At the DISKPART prompt, type list disk. Make note of the disk number you want to convert to basic.
    4. At the DISKPART prompt, type select disk <disknumber>.
    5. At the DISKPART prompt, type detail disk <disknumber>.
    6. For each volume on the disk, at the DISKPART prompt, type select volume= <volumenumber> and then type delete volume.
    7. At the DISKPART prompt, type select disk <disknumber>. Specify the disk number of the disk that you want to convert to a basic disk.
    8. At the DISKPART prompt, type convert basic.

    screen says:

    setup is starting
    then i accept licence
    then no drives are there
    selected drive options
only the "refresh" and "load driver" options are available
    everything else is greyed out.

The refresh just does nothing and the load drivers option asks for mass storage driver?

    Thanks in advance

I posted the reason why and fix for this just above.

You still have dynamic formatting and, as stated in your previous thread, it must be removed before reinstalling.
