Yes this was the first thing I did.Nothing concerning the power saving or power control can be found on the OSD.As a matter of fact this monitor's menu doesn't differ a lot from my old monitor's (which was LG too). There is a program called forteManager used to control to monitor setting from Windows but nothing there too.The only thing that might be related is the "source" button.Taken from the manual ->
"Use this button to make DSUB, DVI or HDMI connector active. This feature is used when two computers are connected to the display.*HDMI is optimized on the AV equipment." I used it to make my monitor start working again (I explained in previous posts) but it doesn't do the trick while setup is running.Once in power saving mode I haven't found any possible way to turn it on back except restarting.

I am having this same problem right now. If I figure out how to fix it I'll let you know.

Current video card only has 2x DVI ports, so my monitor uses a VGA to DVI at the end. I tried removing it and using the onboard video with VGA but nothing would show on the monitor after rebooting or any other time, so I went back to DVI and I figure the ONLY damn way to install windows at this point is to wait for 2 hours when I'm sure there is a window up and just keep hitting enter/space until I get through the installation. I wish I knew what screens popped up when so I know what to hit on the keyboard for a 'blind' install.

Update: tried everything, including flashing bios. It looks like every attempt gets a little further. Now I get up to about 60% during Expanding Windows Files before it enters sleep mode and goes into a freakin' coma. Probably just going to install XP and forget this whole nightmare

Windows XP 32bit SP3

Bit late but we had the same problem, and it was the GFX card overheating. Some wire got shifted in the case and stopped the fan from turning so when it hit a certain temp it shut down therefore the screen receiving no signal.

On rebooting it had cooled a little and so we started another install and again after a few minutes into the installation the temp got to high and the same thing happened again.

We only noticed as when I went inside the system to see if anything was loose the heat coming off the GFX card was seriously hot!

BTW the card is an overclocked Radeon HD4890
