In this case RTM is the same as Retail.

Are you thinking "RC" to retail? If so, the RC will expire in a month or two. RTM and "retail" are the same thing as far as I know.

To be totally clear, RTM is not a version of Windows 7. RTM is an acronym for "Release To Manufacturing," meaning that a product is complete and can be published and released to stores. Therefore, when Microsoft determined that Windows 7 had reached the RTM stage of development, the product was sent to stores and other distribution channels.

It is RTM and i am sure of that. Build 6.1.7600.16385.

Now i know that RTM means release to manufacture, but what i heard was that in the proccess, microsoft released updates before the actual shipment to the public.

RTM is the same as retail. Any driver updates and such would be available from Windows update.
