Installing Windows 7 from a Virtual Partition

    Here is the case:

My HDD is divided into two partitions (C: ) and (D: ).
Partition (D: ) is labeled as a "virtual partition"
Currently I have Windows 7 installed on my (C: ) drive from which windows boots.
I also have a .iso file of Windows 7 on my (D: ) drive.

Is it possible from be to boot from my (D: ) drive which has no OS installed on it, and autorun the Windows installation file and perform a clean installation of Windows 7 on my (C: ) drive?
If yes, could you please provide me with specific instructions as to how that can be accomplished?

Why boot in the first place? Either mount the ISO in a virtual CD Drive, or extract the ISO to the file system. Next run setup.exe from the mounted/extracted ISO and select "Custom" installation.
