    Won't even start the installation

Hello all, my first thread here but very strange one.
I reboot the system with my DVD/CD rom to boot first and everything starts normal. You hit any key to start booting from the cd-rom, Win7 DVD in it. I must say I installed Win7 on at least 5 different pc and laptops without any problems whatsoever. Been doing that for 15 years with all kinds of windows...
This problems tops them all - it shows the fancy screen with beautiful wallpaper where it should little bit later show you the option to install in your language. However that window NEVER comes...it just freezes there. I waited for like 5 mins and the next time 10 mins but NOTHING...
Do you have any ideas? Thanks in advance,
    Vassily

Any ideas guys? I tried with two different DVDs, so it's not about the DVD itself...

What is the computer running now?

Does the Windows copying files white bar complete?

With 1 G of ram I assume you are using the 32 bit install?

    Hi,

    Welcome to 7 forums :)

You must have to wait for more time. I had waited for around 15 mins once to get the EULA screen. Another member of this forum got the issue and he too had waited to get EULA screen as per my suggestion and succeeded. I suggest you to wait for 15 - 30 mins atleast. This wait time depends upon the system specs. At this wait time occurs at rare instance :)

Wait longer, up to 20 minutes or more.

If this fails, check for a BIOS update from your current version. While in BIOS, set SATA controller to ACHI.

    Try resetting the CMOS: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixthe.../clearcmos.htm

You can also try installing from USB flash stick to rule out DVD as prob. USB Windows 7 Installation Key Drive - Create

Thanks a bunch guys, I'll try tomorrow and see if it works.
I know my ram is little, I'm buying some next week :) It's a nice place to ask you - do you know which is better - buying Corsair 2 x 1 GB 1066 MHz or 1 x 2 GB?
