What speed did you burn at ?

ImgBurn at 4x with verify on works best

Make sure you have the latest BIOS version Update from your computer or mobo maker's Support Downloads webpage for your model.

Try clearing the CMOS: Clear CMOS - 3 Ways to Clear the CMOS - Reset BIOS

While in BIOS, check the setting for your SATA controller. Try ACHI first.

If nothing suggested works, you might want to try moving your HD to another computer to install. I have had to do this about a dozen times and Win7 works fine when switched back to problem computer, after swapping out all drivers and several requested restarts. Others have not succeeded, though.

Download and burn to CD the DOS diagnostics for your HD (Seagate=Seatools, WD=Data Lifeguard) from maker's Support Downloads page, then boot from the CD and run full HD scan.

Next run chkdsk from command prompt on your HD.
