I wouldn't know dude. Got my mate to do it for me cos my internet sucks.

Make sure you have the latest BIOS version Update from your computer or mobo maker's Support Downloads webpage for your model.
Try clearing the CMOS: Clear CMOS - 3 Ways to Clear the CMOS - Reset BIOS
While in BIOS, check the setting for your SATA controller. Try ACHI first.
If nothing suggested works, you might want to try moving your HD to another computer to install. I have had to do this about a dozen times and Win7 works fine when switched back to problem computer, after swapping out all drivers and several requested restarts. Others have not succeeded, though.
Ok well last night istarted my install and it only took 10 mins to get to destination drive screen. i used it to format my hard drive theni hit hit. immedietly Copying Windows Files went from 0% to 100% then Expanding Windows Files didn't start. I left it overnight but it didnt change.
I just got back from my mates place. With my hard drive in his computer it did the exact same thing. Is it time to get a new hard drive?
Ok i just made a new copy of the disk using ImgBurn. I made an Image onto my computer then wrote it to disk at 4x speed and Verify ticked. Will keep you posted.
Download and burn to CD the DOS diagnostics for your HD (Seagate=Seatools, WD=Data Lifeguard) from maker's Support Downloads page, then boot from the CD and run full HD scan.
Next run chkdsk from command prompt on your HD.
Still not working im over trying. worked on 2 laptops which mine are better. am over it. to much of a headache.
