How to move BCD to a different partition?

Hello, I presently have two hard disks. First one (bootable) has XP. Second disk has Win 7. Presently BCD (boot dir) is installed in XPs partition.
I would like to remove XP disk altogether and make Win7disk bootable. But that will render win7 unbootable since BCD is now not accessible.
Is there a way to quickly alter BCD in such a way as to boot from Win7 disk?

    1) Remove the Win XP HD.

    2) make your Win 7 the first HD in BIOS.

    3) do a startup repair 3 to 4 times.

What theog suggests will probably work if the Win 7 partition is marked active.

In order to assure your Win7 partition is marked active, boot the Win7 DVD Repair console, click through to recovery tools list, open a Command Prompt and type:

    DISKPART
    LIST DISK
    SELECT DISK # (# for Win7 HD)
    LIST PARTITION
    SELECT PARTITION # (# for Win7 partition)
    ACTIVE
    EXIT

Now return to Recovery Tools list and run Startup Repair up to 3 separate times with reboots to write the MBR to Win7 partition, as it will attempt to repair MBR first before writing it.
