problems installing/dualbooting XP on separate hd
Hey guys, I've had windows 7 64bit installed on my primary hard drive (WD Raptor 150gb) for some time now and i love it. however, a lot of the audio programs i use don't really like 64 bit or windows 7 for that matter. i have a secondary hard drive (WD 1tb) that i use for storage and i want to install windows xp on that. the 1TB has 2 partitions on it, the Windows 7 recovery partition which is like 100mb, and the Storage partition which takes up the rest of the disk. now i went into disk management in 7 and shrank the storage partition 200gb so i now have 200gig of unallocated space on my secondary hard drive to install XP on. I get stuck after the windows xp installer finishes formatting and copying the installation files and reboots. when it reboots "a disk read error" occurs and i have to press ctrl alt delete to restart. then to boot back into 7 have to use the install disk and repair. i need some help :[
