    Booting from installation WiN7 CD

I have one problem with installing a copy of Win7 on my laptop. At this moment I have a Vista OS on laptop and I wanted to install a fresh copy of Win7 on it. In BIOS I've placed a DVD rom for Boot Primary device, and I placed DVD with Win7 system into DVD ram and rebooted comp.
When Press any key to boot form CD... appears, and when I press any key nothing happens - just a sound when I press a key each time, and after few seconds Vista is normally booting.

    Please help

    Welcome!

Try manually booting from the disc. Press F11 and F12 during the BIOS scan (called the POST) and select your DVD drive.

       Note
This function may be disabled in your BIOS by default. If it is, you will need to enable it.

Go into BIOS and recheck. I have two setting on my Dell. One to boot from DVD only once and the other to boot from DVD until I change the settings. Check your BIOS, if you have two potential settings make sure that you are set for the second choice.
