    Bootmgr is missing.

This is driving absolutely crazy. Whenever I try to install Windows 7 to my new computer (I just built it, completely new parts) it says it was unable to install because it was "unable to format a partition." I ran a diagnostics and it said that the problem was that the "bootmgr was missing." Whenever I install, I install it to Disk 0 Partition 2. I have tried just about everything, and nothing is working. Could my hard drive be damaged, or is it something else?

    Thanks!

Try using Dban on the HDD first then install Windows 7, you can create the partition after you install from inside Windows 7 just as easily.

If you need to install RAID just hit F10 on start up with the Win 7 DVD in the drive, use the Windows 7 drivers on the disk if you need to set up RAID.

it works better if you use the first SATA port 0 on the board. Don't forget to enable the SATA drives and RAID if you are using it in bios.
