How to add boot option for UEFI shell?

    Hi,

I would like to boot into the EFI shell with a notebook that has virtually no BIOS options like ..booting into efi etc - of course not in the boot manger either.

I have the actual Shell_Full.efi on a fat 32 partition and renamed it into efi/boot/BOOTX64.efi according to some documentation I found.

Now I would just need to get the notebook to find this file during the boot process. Currently during boot windows boot manager gives me the option to boot windows 7 Premium home or (via TAB key) the HP diagnostic tool that is UEFI based but nothing else.

I guess a "boot from that file option (UEFI SHELL)" could be added using easyBCD or GRUB but I am not sure how to configure them to do that.

Here is a link to the drivers and specs of my HP Pavilion DV6 2090eo notebook with i7 processor http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?os=4063&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=nz&lang=en&product=4040219 .

I have updated everything including the BIOS.

    Any ideas are greatly appreciated

    Many thanks,
