I found out that windows deactivates your product key if you activate it to much and I don't know what to do. I tried calling support but that was lousy (hang up on me). I've only used Windows 7 on my one computer. I just want to reactivate my existing product key.

Is there a way to re-activate my product key online?

I have heard WinXP doing this but not Win7 so far.

Have you tried running sliu.exe 4 in your run window?
It should set you up to call the special 1-800 number for setup

This is something I found around.
See if it fits your situation

    Are you running AVG?
Either you are getting the error code or the system can’t find your slui.exe.
    Possible solution.

If you are running the AVG firewall it will block the slui.exe and you will not be able to activate Windows 7.
You will need to disable the firewall process with admin privileges.

    Then try it.

And the name of the thread is the error code. 0xC004C008

    It is all automated.

    Try phone activation:

    Activate Windows 7 manually:
    1. Click Start, and in the Search box type : slui.exe 4

    2. Press ENTER on your Keyboard

    3. Select your Country.
    4. Select the Phone Activation option, and hold on for a real person.

I tried that and it was no help. I'm supposed to have some code that has six digits in the front of it and I don't know what it is.

    I'm glad it worked.
Sorry I hadn't used it in Win7 so I wasn't sure what you would see.

    Mission accomplished.
