Windows 7 - Change Product Key and Rechange Back
Hello,
Currently I have Win 7 Premium installed and validated (#Key1). However, I have purchase another license (#Key2) for my upcoming PC (which may take a while). Can I change my current installed Win7 key to #Key2 and see whether it is genuine, then change back to #Key1 (on the same machine) without being blacklisted or anything? The concern is since it take a while for 2nd PC, better to have a piece of mind that my second purchase is genuine as well. ![]() Thanks |

You should be able to call MS and talk to a CSR and get the key checked out and verified.
Where did you get the 2nd key anyways? If you got it from a reputable source it should be ok if not you can should be able to get it sorted out quick enough |

Gregg has given you correct information about the volume key. In any event, I hope that it all works out for you.

Thanks guys. The second key is actually my friend's (full retail, supposedly). Here, piracy is common ... so I understand his concern ...
Just that he bought the Win 7 much earlier than his upcoming new PC. So asked me whether i can test it out on my machine with the swapping option of win7. So technically should be OK ... but just want confirmation before I do it ... ![]() Thanks guys for the help! |
