Win7 32 bit to 64 bit

Is it safe? Do I have to do any middle steps?

If your system can run 64 bit. You cant upgrade from one to the other it has to be a clean install. If I knew what kind of system you had I could be more informative.

No middle steps. Just make sure you have a back up and all the data off the disk that you need.

I have a Win7 Ultimate. My dad mentioned something about if my CPU was a 64-bit processor. I think I have Intel Core Duo e8400. Is that a 64-bit one? I'd look on google myself, but I don't know what to search for.
