Clean Install and Re Arm Count

    Hello All,
First time posting (I usually find the answer through a search).
I prefer to perform a clean install once a year or so.
My re-arm count is 3 at the moment.
Is this linked to the amount of times I can use my product key ?
Or is it simply to keep count of the times the slmgr -rearm command is used ?
    Thanks for any help, Nelly

    Hello Nelly,

It's tied to the count of the times the slmgr -rearm command is used to extend the grace period before you must activate Windows 7. Once you activate your Windows 7 with your product key number, there is no need to this.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn
